Charge depletion
This applet displays graphs of capacitance and current against voltage. A simple diagram showing the relative sizes of the depletion regions is displayed on the left side of the applet. A voltage may be selected by dragging the red marker (or by editing the appropriate text field), and this diagram will update accordingly.
The constants NA and Nd may be modified using the fields provided. The cross-sectional area (used when calculating the capacitance) is fixed at 10-7 m2. V0 is fixed at 0.7V.
